Dead Space 2 was really epically enjoyable for me, the scares were a good improvement over the first game but the series all together has pushed itself onto my top games list.

I’m a huge fan of the Super Smash Bros. series. I think the games are fun, energetic, simple, addictive, and very unique. Although at times, winning can be very random, one can take items off to make it more competitive and less random.
The idea of Smash Bros. draws me in because the game is a fighter (big fan), and pits characters against eachother that are never together in a game and, most times, have their own games.
And the idea of having hot-shot Nintendo characters duke it out over beautifully rendered environments with over the top items is a blast. And the multiplayer experience only heightens the experience.
So in terms of games that really interest me, I love games that are challenging, unique, have simple controls, and are fun to play. That probably includes many games, but I feel Super Smash Bros. fits that category as an example.
So really games that aren’t necessarily tied to a specific genre, but share the above qualities in the game design.
Super Smash brothers was a good game to play. It had a lot of great features in the game. I did many of the modes in a good time. The quality of the game was right and you got every player from the video game series.
Yea. I think the original game is a classic, changing the way players think about fighting games. And yes, the new Super Smash Bros has so many great features to it, especially a map editor. The new game is so much more customizable than its predecessors.
Thanks for the reply.
Super smash bros. was the greatest game on the N64

Another good game that I like to play on a regular basis is Mega Man. Did anyone play Mega Man when they were still in grade school?

Old school game called WARBREEDS was an awsoem game
Is basically an RTS where you havest crops using advanced technology and to adance your units you steal other peopels genetics to further your own. Then you pick oput the genes you want for your army and create a very Pre-spore liek army to fight off other genetically moddified armies.
It is definitely an awesome game. I played it when I was little.

Did anyone play Fall Out 3 yet? This is a wonderful game and I have to give a heads up to the best AI in the world. They did their job with that.
the ai is terrible in that game. for crying out loud your friends will shoot you if you go through the wrong door
I like the diea of fallout but i felt the game could have done soemthing cooler. Liek floating islands.
They could of done better with the game by having some more sound effects in the game. That would be cool. On the other the hand, the game does have excellent graphics.
I’ve not played this game but I’m curious: Havee you played the metal gear solid games? Especially in 3 and 4, I’ve never seen better AI – it’s so well equipped to respond to such a broad variety of situations.

anyone ever play the legend of mana for the ps1?
its definitely in the top 10 games list for meI did. It was fun for me and I had a good time with it. I liked the music in the game. I used to dance to it every time I played the game.
yeah alot of ps1 era rpgs had fantastic music
Ive never played it but id have to say my favorite ps1 game was crash bandicoot .
Wait what was tat game that was basically diablo 1 but for the ps1. Its sometimes refereed to as the predicator to Diablo…
Yeap as well as Secret of Mana for snes, awesome series
one of the things I found most interesting about the secret of mana was that a second player could actually jump in whenever you had a buddy following you around in the game, not something you see a whole lot of.

Drake’s Fortune is one of the great games out there today. It has shooting, fighting, and driving in the game. You can do just about everything there is to do out there with this game. It is a legitimate game where the world is open and you can achieve many missions without going through bad dialog.
I thought Among Thieves was the better game but same series. What really shines about this game, for me, is the story which rivals (and in my opinion surpasses) the Indiana Jones classics (except for that 4th one ug).
Yeah, the story does shine. I liked the story which is almost the same to Grand Theft Auto 4. It makes me happy that the game is action packed with all kinds of dialog in the game.
When was that made? Ive never heard of it…
He means Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune.
I agree, Uncharted is one of my favorite series of all time – It reminds me of an Indiana Jones meets Pirates of the Carribean hybrid in game form. Absolutely spectacular.
Uncharted is pwnage for sure, one of the top reasons to get a ps3 imo
Can’t wait for the next part of the series.

Commander keen is an amazing game.
Yeah, I like the game because the shooting is awesome and people are always talking about it. It is also a popular game on the internet as well.
I actually just picked up id’s commander keen collection on steam. I’m no better at it now as I was back in the day but there’s a certain timelessness about that platformer that keeps me coming back for more.
The commander keen colection si amazing for the cost hours of fun. I think the forrest one is the best of them all personally.
Yeah the one where you move on a 2d plane to different levels and then it turns into a sidescroller? That was my favorite as a kid but after playing all of the commander keens, I can’t really pick my favorite.

Are there games that make you want to play them over and over again?
Mass Effect. I’ve played through both games so many times and I’m still building a lot of saves for mass effect three. Definitely in my top 5 games.c
Mass Effect is a great game to play over and over again. I enjoyed Mortal Kombat Deception. It taught me how to perform fatalities for the first time in my life.
Do you now perform fatalities irl on the regular?
Yes, I do. I do fatalities with an incredible style that is easy to control.
I hate mass effect. Its got plot and grpahic but the game play was severly hampered by all the focus on the two primaries of the game.
The fixed up the gameplay in two, I thought but unless you’re playing on ps3, you’re really limiting yourself by only playing two.

Games that have great story and compelling music to reinforce the feelings of a great story. In my opinion, if the story is good enough, the controls don’t have to top notch. Although, controls play a big part.
I agree this, but I like that you mentioned music. It plays such a huge part of the experience and, in my opinion, can make or break a game. I can sit down and play Guilty Gear for hours, not because I like fighting games, which I don’t really, but because the sound track is awesome.
I like the soundtracks in certain games as well. I feel that hip hop games like Def Jam Fight for NY have the cutting edge soundtrack for hip hop artists in the music industry. The game play is okay but, the soundtrack gets me in the mood to play the game all day and 7 days a week.
I think music is one of the biggest draws of Katamari Damacy. Something about rolling around to jpop is just so soothing, almost therapeutic.
LOL! now that is scary but its true! you just get all bubbly feeling and start laughing about rolling people up into a ball haha
Im gunan have to agree with Elbowz. the music in my oppinon was the best part.
It helped me cope with the fact is wanst my type of game. Im not gunan say it was a bad one but it just wanst my thing is all.@crazedghoul1704 I very much agree with you, while I think it is important for all aspects of a game to at the very least be solid, music and story have a lot to do with games for me. The ones I seem to remember and love the most are usually the ones that have just what you said.

I liked the game Saints Row. Saints Row 1 and 2 was excellent. They are all similar to Grand Theft Auto. The gameplay in the series is incredible and the soundtrack is well organized.

Does anyone remember the Area 51 game on the PS2 and Xbox. That game was great. The story was incredibly deep and interesting. You were transforming into an alien and had some strange abilities as a result. I was really hoping for a sequel to that game, but instead they released the terrible Area 51 black site.
I remember hearing great things about the one on PS2, but I never played it. Another shooter I heard good things about but never played was Black.
Area 51 was an excellent game. The aliens look real and people could beat the game in two days. This is one of my favorite games. I like how the character showed a climax towards the end of the game.
Yeap!! totally remember this game! and Marilyn Manson is the voice of the alien Edgar in it as well which was pretty rad

I already own the sega genesis collection and megaman anniversary collection, but are there any other collections out there worthwhile? There are tons of games that I have for Genesis (75+), but want some trophies on PS3… NES Collection?
Unfortunately there is no NES collection…the next best thing are the rereleases of the PS2 collections. There is a Sly Cooper and God of War collection which are good, and soon there is a Team Ico and a Prince of Persia collection, and now there is a rumored Metal Gear Solid Collection.
A Prince of Persia collection, remastered in HD? This, I must obtain. I also hope they do the MGS collection – those were some of my favorite games.
Yeah I hope MGS comes out too. I know PoP is definitely releasing, but it would be awesome to have all MGS in HD on one disk! I NEED IT!
Have you ever played the original PoP on NES? Unplayable.
It is unforgivingly difficult.
It is definitely challenging and I have a hard time focusing on the gameplay.
Th god of war colelction was really good. It gave me all the gore and violance i wanted at a meele range i felt comofrtable at.
It was actualyl kinda hard on the hardest settigns is you hacked it a little.
