II. Short game description
SpaceVille is an educational augmented reality social game where the user creates and manages his or her own solar system occupying physical space.III. Structure
Once the user creates an account and scans a room, to be used as their play space, the game will give them portions of gases and space dust to begin constructing their solar system. Every day the central force of gravity, located at the center of the room, works to condense the gathered matter into a star. The user has one chance a day to help move the process of creating stars or planets out of the matter. If more chances are desired the user must pay for them. As the user creates the star(s) or planet(s) the game will give hints as to the effects each material will have on the final result.IV. Creative Action
The user is allowed to name the stars, planets, and solar system he or she creates. They will also be allowed, once a week, an act called a Divine Intervention. This will allow the user to make one drastic change to a celestial object; such as a change of basic composition or the star or planets orbital period.V. Narrative
The narrative within the game will be given when a player selects a star or planet. The game will provide detailed information about that star or planet depending on what materials were used to build it. When a planet has reached fruition the game will supply a short history of the planet.VI. Rewards
The users will be given education about how objects are formed in our universe. They will also be given a new means of interaction with other people.VII. Social Intention
Users of SpaceVille will be able to explore other user’s solar systems both online and through the viewing of smart phones in the physical world. They will also be able to send and receive materials to help construct new stars and planets. -
