Final Projects: 1 year ago · ViewStarted working on my game design doc yesterday. Ihad some problems with figuring out if my project had the majority of what it was asking for.
My project is more of a tool rather than a game but has some gamified elements.
What is the social purpose of the tool? And what are the gamified elements? Are they generic game aspects or exclusive to social games?
The game design document may be modeled after video games but many of the points can be modified/changed into something else that relates more to your specific needs. I know for the gdd I’m working on about half the topics don’t even aply
i usually take out all the parts that have to do with publishing the game in the GDD, because i dont think it would be possible to publish this game in the next 2 weeks as well as financially managing it.

Doodles tend to be either really effect at getting people or just scattering them around more. Id shoot to have it done in class.

I think putting this kind of game onto a smartphone is a good idea because you can meet other people in real life on the battle grounds that you are watching (at least thats what i think you meant).
The only thing i would probably add onto is the goal of the game. I think there should be several different types of goals one can choose from. such as Historically accurate (trying to mimic the battle as much as possible) and the maybe another mode where you could have it be more like a FPS.
