I have recently noticed that #FF is a big deal on Fridays! “Follow Fridays” and it apparently is good form to ##FF @soanso — give shout outs to your followers??!

Question: On a similar note (but different media), I am curious about what age should children be exposed to Facebook? I will be dealing with this issue for real not too long from now.

Question: Do people set up multiple Twitter accounts to separate or to compartmentalize the different aspects of their lives, the simple example would be work/professional from home/play?

I know that this can be done using lists but I don’t think this gives enough separation.

@halflingbarbarian as for the “twitter scandal” was it really anything anyone could do about it? or was it just something that was frowned upon.

@halflingbarbarian but as mentioned Lord_Voldemort7 tweets ads… though he balances it with messages. I figure if your have enough followers to warrant getting paid to tweet. then loosing one or 100 because you “sold out” wont matter.

She got paid quite a lot of money for the ad tweet, and people who have thousands of followers will take $10,000 or whatever [...]

so far with twitter i havnt really noticed any etiquette. I’m not sure if the twitter police will come down on me if I spam posts. But then again i dont really see a reason to spam posts.

Spam is frowned on, clearly, *unless* the account is extremely popular. I could not spam like common_squirrel, but Lord_Voldemort7 will tweet advertisements for completely unrelated, off-topic stuff. He doesn’t care if he loses 10,000 followers when he tweets spam because he tweets enough on-topic stuff to gain them all back or more, plus he gets [...]
