well – I decided that I had way too much script to easily convert it, so I just gave up and decided to do something else……that would be a great tool for someone to create – script converter! Cannot believe that Adobe doesn’t have one.

It depends on what you’re doing in/with AS2….manual conversion, some of it is easy, some of it is time consuming.
Doesn’t seem to be a way to just auto-magically convert AS2 to AS3.

The instructions were (still are?) terrible in the game I submitted to Kongregate (Contact) for the past Business of Game Design class I completed some semesters ago.
Now that I’ve taken Usability in Game Design, its a choice if I want to improve it or just let it languish in obscurity. Probably the latter, as I took similar gameplay concepts and turned it into my clock game, which makes more sense, is less random and actually has some strategy. I may go back to it and rewrite the horrible code I used before, it would be good practice. Who knows, if its cleaned up, I might be inspired and take the time to make the game more user-friendly and develop it more.
Favorite Kongregate comment from that ordeal?
”I can’t figure out what the heck to do? the instructions are worse than useless. I hope English isn’t your first language.”

Smart decision to take your project in a new direction, one where you’re obviously more comfortable. It’s more visual than game based, its like an interactive slideshow/limited ”choose your own adventure” type thing–more storyboard than gameplay. In that sense its not much of a game so it may contribute to some of the reviews on Kongregate.
